Power Pitching Program
Bill Thomas’ passion for baseball began in his fatherly duties, teaching his two boys baseball fundamentals and how to throw with true power. Over the years, it started to become apparent how the sport began to take a toll on the body.
As the practice began to see more and more pitchers with arm pain and injuries, there became a newer, deeper focus on baseball development and how athletes can incorporate different mechanisms to preserve their game and make it more enjoyable.
Enter: The Power Pitching Program. This medically based program is designed to equip you with the tools to keep playing baseball for as long as you want, and not as long as the pain allows. Even if you’re not currently experiencing pain in your game, this program is robust enough to still help you increase velocity and control with consistency that allows you to have the most powerful throwing potential you’ve ever seen, beginning with those as young as 10 years old.
We have designed our system around three key elements: Rehab. Evaluate. Train. Focusing on these three areas helps us gain insight on your unique build and safely train it to improve efficiency, strength, and your overall best.
Beginning the Power Pitching Process
This Process begins with a 30-point head-to-toe evaluation, followed by a two-angle, slow-motion video analysis of your throwing mechanics to lay the groundwork for a training plan just for you. This plan will be custom to your body composition and general factors contributed to arm pain in throwing.
- Training Time: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
Once you’ve been thoroughly evaluated, we sit down and paint a detailed picture of your health and areas of opportunity. Our local participants will receive a take-home plan with an added opportunity to join our team’s competitive, educational Power Pitching Training program.
For our long-distance participants, we will give you a take-home plan on how to kick off your treatment by working on your specific needs. We will reach out in 30 days to follow up and track progress.
Training sessions include a variety of physical activities such as: warm-up, throwing drills, fast-twitch muscle development, strength training, core training, and a 15-minute mobility session.
